V-Optimizer now open source
It's been a while since my last devlog. As the title suggests, I have made this tool and its core library VCore available as open source.
Why? You might ask yourself, because it was planned all along, but the library was too much in development at the beginning to release it to other programmers.
So what you can do with VCore?
Since VCore is the underlying library of V-Optimizer and the Cli, you can do everything they can do. You can load any supported voxel format, optimize it and export it to all supported export formats. It's also possible to create voxel models on the fly. This allows you to even better integrate the optimization flow into your workflow.
Over time the library may will get more and more features to work for realtime applications like games.
So enough text, where can I find it?
- V-Optimizer (the graphical frontend)
- VCore + CLI + Godot Plugin
Both projects are under the MIT License.
So have fun programming and I hope some of you will feel free to contribute to this project.
